I'm a girl, will I feel out of place if I join?

A: If you're old enough to be using our website or young enough that your eyesight can cope reading it, you're ok! Our current members range from ages 13 to 75.

Do I have to "get in the ring and spar?"

A: At Fist Law Academy we don't make any of our members do anything they don't want to do, that includes sparring. It is a great was to see progression of both your skills and technique and your physical fitness. However, it is certainly not necessary to your workout and is 100% optional. Our instructors will push you to a level within the scope of your ability and within the boundaries of what you feel comfortable with.

What makes boxing such a good work out?

A: The boxing workout is a complete body workout that combines aerobic and anaerobic exercise with calisthenics. This complete combination is rarely found in other sports.

  • This combination of training is the best way for the human body to "find" its own natural balance and weight. Once you are in good shape your body weight, muscle tone, metabolism and energy levels will all change to be where they should be.
  • Boxing is more than just a work-out, it's a change of lifestyle. The chances are, once you get into your routine you will find the environment at Fist Law Academy and the success of other members will encourage you into wanting some of that success yourself. You will be less likely to slip into bad habits like lack of sleep and poor diet. You will want to work harder and to live a healthier life.
  • Boxing = Results. The more you learn, the more confident you become. The better shape you see yourself in the more you will want to improve. We're sorry but you really will find it addictive !!

A: Before starting, many of our new members have had no formal exercise training and most are pretty out of shape. Regardless of your fitness level we can get you started, the hardest part is getting yourself through the door for the first workout.

Once you've done that you'll be hooked. Remember, when starting any exercise program, if you haven't worked out in a while we recommend you consult your doctor first.
